Core responsibilities:

  • Manage and implement Donordigital’s work with select clients
  • Develop online fundraising/advocacy/promotion plans with specific benchmarks and deliverables, including email newsletters and solicitations, fundraising appeals, advocacy and advertising campaigns, Web site development and more
  • Develop and nurture relationship with client and frequently communicate progress via phone, email, written progress reports and on-site meetings
  • Identify, set-up and maintain appropriate ASP relationships for donation processing, email marketing, etc.
  • Coordinate creative services, including writing/editing Web fundraising copy, promotional copy and email newsletters and solicitations, and supervising production of design work
  • Work with Donordigital staff to manage various aspects of client work
  • Keep up to date on online fundraising and advocacy technology, nonprofit development, and commercial technology and techniques that can be applied to nonprofit development

Required qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in one of the following areas of work: advocacy, fundraising, electoral campaigning, project management, event planning, Internet marketing, direct response
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a multi-faceted fundraising, advocacy, social media or direct response program
  • Terrific project management skills
  • Extremely detail-oriented
  • Excellent communicator, strong writer and speaker
  • Self-starter, good at working independently
  • Flexible, able to meet short deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge and interest in online fundraising, email marketing and advocacy
  • Excellent computer skills — Word, Excel, database, Internet
  • Technology-oriented, with the ability and desire to understand how online fundraising, marketing and advocacy technology works

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Convio, Sphere, or Salsa
  • Basic HTML and other web tools experience

Account Executives work as part of an account team assisting with or leading many aspects of client work and project management.

Core responsibilities:

  • Works with the account lead to develop and implement online fundraising/advocacy campaigns with specific benchmarks and deliverables, including email newsletters and solicitations, fundraising appeals, advocacy campaigns and more.
  • Assists with creative services, including writing/editing Web fundraising copy, promotional copy and email newsletters and solicitations
  • Coordinates email message production and implementation with internal departments and clients
  • Implements and oversees message and landing page setup in the client’s eCRM platform
  • Pull messaging data and other metrics; monitors message performance after a launch and does preliminary analysis for client report-back
  • Helps prepare presentations and reports before in-person client meetings as needed, with guidance from the account lead

Join the Donordigital team in Berkeley and work with clients like Habitat for Humanity, CARE, PETA, and AmeriCares.

We’re seeking a Web Developer who can produce robust, well-structured and well-documented code for use in Web and e-mail fundraising, advocacy, marketing, and advertising. You’ll be creating code for e-mails, campaign sites, widgets, Web 2.0 projects and more…and help brainstorm new projects and then figure out how to make them work online. And you’ll provide support for design, HTML development and production needs.

Typical duties include: Creating HTML from Photoshop files, minor graphic modifications, implementing final HTML deliverables into client CMS tool, QA testing, browser testing, troubleshooting code, and other duties to support design and production staff.

Core responsibilities:

  • Code emails and implement into a CMS system
  • Code websites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL
  • Create custom landing and donation pages
  • Export and optimize animated GIFs
  • Create widgets for Blogs, MySpace, and Facebook

Required qualifications:

  • Expert in hand coding HTML and CSS
  • Ability to code cutting edge designs that both validate, and follow accessibility guidelines
  • Ability to code table based designs with very little CSS for use in emails
  • Strong knowledge of DOM manipulation with JavaScript
  • Skillful in the use of JSON/AJAX techniques to create Web 2.0 style sites
  • Strong knowledge of PHP, such as using PHP for templating, and for storing and retrieving data from MySQL databases
  • Knowledge of Flash and Flash ActionScript 2.0, especially as it pertains to embedding and controlling video
  • Ability to design sites and emails that work well in commonly used browsers and email clients
  • Desire to keep your skill set current and devise new and innovative ways of providing interactivity on the web
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple small- to medium-scale projects
  • Extreme attention to detail and consistency to minimize errors

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop
  • Experience with the Prototype and Scriptaculous JavaScript libraries
  • Experience with Convio, GetActive, and/or Kintera CMS systems
  • Intermediate knowledge of MySQL, especially important is knowledge of database security, and table layout and indexing efficiency
  • Knowledge of how to use the Mac OS X Terminal to create Apache .htpasswd file entries
  • Understanding of MySQL database table joins
  • Encode video for streaming from the web
