Digital Designer

The Digital Designer will lead the creation of engaging and effective online fundraising, advocacy, and list-building campaigns for our nonprofit, progressive causes. This position is responsible for design of emails, web pages, micro-sites, social media promotion, and more!

The Digital Designer manages the day-to-day schedule of all digital client design needs and assigns projects to appropriate team members and partners to ensure deadlines are met with a consistent quality standard, working in concert with the internal web development team.

Core responsibilities:

Manage Online Design Needs:

  • Design email messages, web and social media promotions, donation pages, web sites, and more for implementation by our development team
  • Act as the primary lead with account staff to identify timelines and discuss creative needs and direction for projects
  • Develop and nurture freelance contractors; negotiate rates and supervise contract production as needed
  • Stay abreast of industry trends

Work with Account Staff:

  • Participate in internal strategy sessions/brainstorms with staff to develop new creative ideas or campaign tactics
  • Develop detailed creative concepts for online fundraising, marketing and advocacy campaigns of Mal Warwick | Donordigital clients, outlining all content and related deliverables
  • Ensure that creative fits with client’s requirements and the image they wish to promote
  • Develop and propose creative approaches and treatments that align with client communication strategy

Required qualifications:

  • BA/BFA/MA in Graphic Design, Advertising, Multimedia Design or equivalent
  • Minimum of five years professional web design experience
  • Proven track record of developing, executing and managing creative online advertising, advocacy, list building and/or fundraising campaigns
  • Expertise in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, graphic design, web design, email design, mobile-friendly design, integrated design, user experience, icon and logo creation, color theory, typography, wireframes and rapid prototyping
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, platforms/browser capabilities; current rich media technologies and their relevant applications; online design constraints; and content management systems

Online Account Executive
Account Executives work as part of an account team assisting with or leading many aspects of client work and project management.

Core responsibilities:

  • Working with the account lead to develop and implement online fundraising/advocacy campaigns with specific benchmarks and deliverables, including email newsletters and solicitations, fundraising appeals, advocacy campaigns and more
  • Assisting with creative services, including writing/editing Web fundraising copy, promotional copy and email newsletters and solicitations
  • Coordinating email message production and implementation with internal departments and clients
  • Implementing and overseeing message and landing page setup in the client’s eCRM platform
  • Working with Director of Research and Analytics to pull messaging data and other metrics
  • Monitoring message performance after a launch and doing preliminary analysis for client report-back
  • Helping prepare presentations and reports before in-person client meetings as needed, with guidance from the account lead

Required qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in one of the following areas of work: advocacy, fundraising, electoral campaigning, project management, event planning, Internet marketing, direct response
  • Terrific project management skills
  • Extremely detail-oriented
  • Excellent communicator, strong writer and speaker
  • Self-starter, good at working independently
  • Flexible, able to meet short deadlines and thrive in a fast paced environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge and interest in online fundraising, e-mail marketing and advocacy

  • Technology-oriented, with the ability and desire to understand how online fundraising, marketing and advocacy technology works (Note: This is not a Web development position.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with GetActive, Kintera Sphere, DIA or Convio ASP
  • Experience with nonprofit fundraising or advocacy
  • Basic HTML and other web tools experience
  • Previous experience in a client service role

Online Senior Account Executive

About the opportunity:

Reporting to a Vice President, our Senior Account Executives provide strategic leadership for online marketing fundraising programs with nonprofit organizations. Senior Account Executives also serve as the lead relationship manager for a portfolio of several clients, and work within a team to deliver direct marketing fundraising programs.

The ideal candidate has terrific strategic, fundraising and communication skills to lead an account team with many aspects of client work and project management.

Core responsibilities:

  • Managing and implementing Mal Warwick | Donordigital’s work with select clients
  • Developing online fundraising/advocacy/promotion plans with specific benchmarks and deliverables, including email newsletters and solicitations, fundraising appeals, social media, advocacy and advertising campaigns, Web site development and more
  • Developing and nurturing relationships with client and frequently communicating progress via phone, email, written progress reports and on-site meetings
  • Identifying, setting up and maintaining appropriate ASP relationships for donation
  • Coordinating creative services, including writing/editing online fundraising copy, promotional copy and email newsletters and solicitations, and supervising production of design work
  • Working with staff to manage various aspects of client work
  • Keeping up to date on online fundraising and advocacy technology, nonprofit development, and commercial technology and techniques that can be applied to nonprofit development

Required qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in one of the following areas of work: advocacy, fundraising, digital project management, online marketing, direct response
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a multi-faceted fundraising, advocacy, social media or direct response program
